Srinagar, September 12: Several demonstrations took place in Jammu today to protest the “delay” in setting up of central university in the city. Members of Central University Andolan Samiti (CAUS), an amalgam of several organisations, burnt effigies at six places during the demonstrations, police said here.
The demonstrators were demanding that the university be set up at Samba area at the earliest. CAUS is spearheading the revolt since past almost two months.
