Protest staged against MIM’s pressure in Telangana Waqf Board

Hyderabad: Passing of resolution against Chief Executive Officer under MIM’s pressure, resented Muslims. Protests were conducted by various organisations of the city and districts against it. CPI and other organisations staged protest at Hajj House, Nampally against the resolution passed against Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Asadullah and returning of his services to Revenue Department.

The dharna was staged by various organisations led by ex-MP Rajya Sabha Syed Aziz Pasha. The protestors demanded that the government retain devoted officials and do not yield to MIM’s pressure. They said CPI and other organisations will begin state level protest programme on the issue.

Protestors said that TRS government should fulfil its promise of protecting Waqf properties and provide opportunity to dutiful and sincere officers to serve the Board.

Osman bin Mohammed Al-Hajari, President Deccan Waqf Protection Society, Sanaullah Khan, Convenor SC, ST, BC Muslim Front, Ilyas Shamsi and representatives of other organisations participated in the dharna. Aziz Pasha claimed that Chief Executive Officer Asadullah rendered remarkable services in protection of Waqf properties. He said the struggle will continue till the restoration of Chief Executive Officer.

Resolution against CEO by Waqf Board is undemocratic as the Board has no power to act against CEO. The board passed the resolution by yielding to MIM’s pressure.
