Insaaf Organization and Deccan Wakf Protection Society had organized a protest meeting at Dabeerpura gate which police cancelled by force. Mr. Aziz Pasha, former M.P., Maulana Syed Hamid Husain Shuttari, Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al Hajiri, President of Deccan Wakf Protection Society and others condemned the authoritarian attitude of the police for cancelling the meeting and said that it has become the puppet in the hands of politicians who have vested interests. It may be noted that hurdles were created for organizing protest meeting for the restoration of 27 acres of Wakf property of Towli Masjid which has been usurped by the land grabbers. They said that the cancellation of permission to hold protest meeting is the assassination of democracy. They also said that by using force, police could not submit stop the activities of the land grabbers. By cancelling the permission for the meetings, Govt. cannot stop the struggle for the restoration of properties. Mr. Osman told that police had converted Dabeerpura area into a military cantonment and created an emergency like situation.
