Relatives of a dead prisoner on Sunday protested at Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad against the alleged criminal negligence of doctors there.
According to the information, a prisoner Kumar, who was undergoing treatment in the Chest Hospital at Erragadda for respiratory problems died three days ago. The Chest Hospital authorities immediately sent the body to Gandhi Hospital for conducting post mortem.
For the reasons best known to them, the concerned doctors at Gandhi Hospital failed to conduct post mortem of the body. As a result, the body started decomposing emitting unbearable foul smell. Enraged over the negligence of the Gandhi doctors to perform their legitimate duties, the relatives of the prisoner staged a protest at the hospital. (NSS)
