Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike (KKSV), Udupi district unit, held a protest demanding action against persons who are assaulted Muslim youths in the region repeatedly, here in front of the Clock Tower on March 5.
President of district unit of KKSV, G Rajashekhar, during the protest, allegedly said that Haneef and his wife were attacked at Trasi on February 23 and in another incident, Humair was assaulted at Nidamballi on February 24.
He said that in both the cases, activists belonging to right-wing organisations were involved in and the police allegedly supported them.
