Hyderabad, January 3: Mir Jaffer Ali Khan advocate wrote a letter to the collector Rangareddy district, CEO Waqf board and revenue officer Shahbad mandal Rangareddy district and urged them to protect the waqf land of dargah Hazrat Pahelwan Shah Vali and adjacent graveyard located at Shahabad village Rangareddy.
In his letter he stated that he has been informed by the local people of Shahbad village that some miscreants of the village, under vested interest, are inciting the youth to encroach upon the waqf land of graveyard and to some extent they succeeded in their attempt to grab the land and are trying to make constructions on the same.
He appealed the above said officers to take immediate measures to protect waqf land from illegal occupation.
He also demanded survey of the land through a senior surveyor and after marking its limits a compound wall should be erected. Immediate action is needed against the unscrupulous elements illegally occupying the waqf land. He said.
