Hyderabad, December 4: Mian Mushk was one among the many enlightened ancestors of Qutub Shahi era. Mian Mushk had built a mosque which is located near Puranapul and is present till today by the grace of Allah. This historical mosque is built on 5 acre 3 guntas of land. According to waqf board record it is mentioned in the map dated 3-4-1941. Mian Mushk had also built a majestic palace in Attapur which is still present but a non Muslim land grabber has taken its possession.
Masjid Mian Mushk is under the supervision of waqf board. There are shops under the mosque whose tenants are mostly non Muslims. You would be surprised to know that the rent of each shop is so less that you can’t buy one litre of petrol with it. There are some tenants who pay a meager rent and give the shop to their sub-tenants on higher rent.
There is a hostel inside Masjid Mian Mushk. Students studying in various colleges stay in the hostel. The students residing here hinted that if you want to know the truth about the hostel you come here and see yourself in the night what a local gang does here. They wanted us to know what unsocial activities are carried out here in the darkness of night.
The protection of 5 acre 3 guntas land of Masjid Mian Mushk and hostel is our religious and legal duty. Minority welfare department chief Mohammad Ali Rafath and chairman waqf board Maulana Khusro Pasha should pay attention towards the matter.
