Prosecutor claims Ranveer was a criminal

S.P. Singh Rathore, the lawyer representing the 17 Uttarakhand policemen who were accused for killing Ranveer in a fake encounter in 2009, on Monday claimed that the victim was a criminal.

“We are not satisfied with the court’s decision. The innocents have been unnecessarily punished without any proof. I will appeal to the high court. Ranveer was a criminal, and we also have a copy of the FIR lodged against him,” said Rathore.

A Delhi court on Monday sentenced seventeen Uttarakhand policemen to serve life terms in prison for gunning down MBA graduate, Ranveer Singh in a jungle in 2009
