Leaders of Waqf ka Mansha movement Mr. Syed Aliuddin Ahmed Asad, Mr. Mir Maqsood Ali and Mr. Syed Hameeduddin Ahmed Mahmood welcomed the decision of separate commissionerate for minorities and termed it a right step though late. They felt that only IAS or IPS officers should be appointed on top posts so that there may be transparency and accountability in the affairs.
The leaders asked the government to end deputation of additional charge in minority affairs and adopt the justice-loving policy. They told that there is no dearth of Muslim IAS or IPS. They called for formation of a permanent cell for elimination of the difficulties faced by the public at Minority Finance Corporation, Waqf Board, Urdu Academy, Hajj Committee.
