Captain Pandu Ranga Reddy president Voice of Telangana strongly opposed the proposal to dismantle historical Osmania General Hospital building and strongly condemned the orders of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Speaking to Siasat correspondent here he told that the old building of Osmania General Hospital has been declared the best heritage building and the hospital was built during the period of Nizam VII with 1000 beds. The aim was to provide free medical facility to the citizens.
Captain Reddy demanded that the Telangana government withdraw its decision of dismantling the building. The building has become dilapidated due to the prejudice of non-local rules, he claimed. This decision of Telangana government has not only hurt heritage activists but 4 cr people of Telangana also felt dejected over the decision.
