Hyderabad: Rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s Dera Sacha Sauda has 55-acre farm land in Nalgonda district on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
According to the news published in Deccan Herald, this property is meant for the construction of a college and school, the caretaker said. On Saturday, documents of the property got verified by the officials of Revenue.
The property is located 70 km from Hyderabad in Veliminedu village, Nalgonda District. It has only a compound wall and a small room for the caretaker, Shyamlal.
It may be mentioned that the value of the property is in crores as it is located near the proposed aerospace park.
Although the government had not ordered attachment, Chityala Mandal Development Officer, Vijayalakshmi has collected the information related to the property. During collecting information, she found that the land is registered in different names and it was bought between 2007 and 2015. However, the entire land is surrounded by a common compound wall. Villagers claimed that the land is purchased by the money of Ashram.
According to Shyamlal, Ram Rahim visited Hyderabad several times since 2002. Here, in Hyderabad, he stayed in hotels to conduct “Satsang”.
