Hyderabad, June 6: The State government would take effective measures to strictly implement Rule of Reservation in promotions to the disabled employees on par with the SC and ST employees in the State from next week. Minister for Women, Child, Disabled and Juvenile Welfare, Ms V. Sunitha Laxma Reddy assured this while speaking at a function organized by the State Differently Abled Employees’ Welfare Association here on Sunday.
She further stated the government would frame a transfer policy for retention/posting of the employees with 40 percent and above disability to places of their choice duly relaxing all restrictions like two years stay at one place and native mandal and districts.
The government would seriously consider the demand for full pension to the disabled employees on the lines of enhanced family pension — 50 percent of the pay last drawn on their retirement. She further assured that the State government will take steps to fill backlog posts from 2002.
