Promise of Urdu not fulfilled in V.R.O. exam

For 11,000 vacancies of Village Revenue officers, nearly 11 lakh candidates appeared for the test. Govt. had earlier promised that the examination papers would be supplied in Urdu also but in the test conducted yesterday, Urdu question paper was not supplied to the candidates.

In this way Govt. failed to keep its promise. As a result of it nearly 2 lakh Urdu knowing candidates were deprived of this opportunity. Chief Revenue Commissioner Mr. J. Satyanarayana clarified that since revenue records are in Telugu, it is therefore necessary for Village Revenue officers to be well-versed in Telugu.
