Hyderabad, May 29: Telugu Desam supreme Mr. Chandrababu Naidu confessed that compromise made with BJP in the part was grave mistake for which TDP lost the support of the Muslims and ultimately it was out of power. He promised that the mistakes of the part will not be repeated in future. Mr. Naidu appealed to the Muslims to forget the part mistakes and join TDP again. He assured that if the TDP comes back to power, it will take effective steps for the development of the Muslims. He also said that Imams and Muzzins will be given Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 3000/- per month respectively. Blaming the congress party, he said that it considers Muslims as vote bank.
He recalled the developmental efforts of the TDP govt in the past for the Muslims and said it constructed Haj House, establishment of Minorities Finance Corporation, mass recruitment by urdu medium teachers, declaring urdu as the second official language in 13 districts, granting permissions to many professional colleges for the educational development of the Muslims.
He realized that inspite of communal rights in Gujarat, TDP continued as support to TD. He hoped that muslims will trust the TDP this time and would extend their support. He also pointed out that during the period of TDP rule there were no communal rights as the top priority of the party was to maintain communal harmony.
Mr. Lal Jan Basha, former M.P. moved a revolution for the development of the Muslims. He stressed the central govt for the enactment of laws in parliament for the welfare of the Muslims in the light of the Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra Committee reports. He suggested that the center should allocate 5% of the union budget for the development of the Muslims. He also made suggestions to provide loans to the Muslims form the Minorities Finance Corporation for the education of their children and for the construction of houses.
Mr. Mohammed Saleem for Chairman, Wakf Board supported the resolution by saying that congress has been making fool of the Muslims by making false promises.
