On June 5, 2011, chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had promised that he would develop old city on par with the new city. The same day during his visit, chief minister had laid the foundation stone of a multi level parking complex at Khilwat. He had promised that the complex would be completed within one year and the local people and tourists would heave a sigh of relief as they would get parking facility which is very much required in the area. Like any other lofty claim of chief minister, this promise also remained unfulfilled and 13 months after the foundation stone was laid, even the construction of the complex has not begun.
It must be recalled that chief minister had laid the foundation stone at Khazana-e-Aamera. There is an 8 feet long and 4 feet wide tablet fixed at the place, which reminds of CMs unfulfilled promise.
