New Delhi, January 24: Prominent criminal lawyer R K Naseem, who appeared for Jessica Lal murder convict Manu Sharma, was today seriously injured when one of his relatives, a former BJP MLA, with whom he has a property dispute allegedly attacked him.
The incident took place in Dabri of south-west Delhi this afternoon when police came to arrest Vinod Sharma, Naseem’s brother-in-law with whom he has a property dispute, a senior police official said.
Naseem and Sharma were involved in a dispute relating to a property in Haryana’s Manesar. The lawyer had got a case registered against Sharma and Haryana Police had come to arrest the latter.
Haryana Police approached their Delhi counterpart seeking help to locate Sharma’s residence and when Naseem got to know about police going to arrest Sharma, he went to his brother-in-law’s residence.
