Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said he lives of people of community professions will have a positive change on completion of the prestigious Kaleshwaram project.
Talking to mediapersons after a field level visit with officials to the project site and others like Medigadda and Sundilla, the minister said the project will be a boon to the people in north Telangana districts. He showered praises on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao for expediting the irrigation projects. The aim of the government was to irrigate one crore acres over a period of five years by completing the projects, Srinivas Yadav said.
Unlike other States, the infant Telangana State was in the forefront to take up a wide gamut of development programs, he said. Subsidized sheep units being offered to the Yadavas will improve their financial conditions, he said. The minister said they are offering free the fodder and grass seed for the purpose. He also promised to give new sheep if the old sheep perish.
For welfare, the TRS government was spending a whopping Rs 40,000 crore and similar amount for the flagship programs like Mission Bhagiratha for supplying safe drinking waters to the households in the villages, he claimed. He also said KCR has envisioned the projects with redesigning to get ample waters for irrigation and Harish Rao played a key role in the same, he said. Indeed, distribution of waters from the projects to the farm fields will sure bring waters in the eyes of the people, Srinivas Yadav said. (NSS)
