Prohibitory orders in City from Dec 5 to 7

Hyderabad, December 04: Anticipating disturbances on December 6 which the Muslim community observes as `Black Day’ in protest against the demolition of Babri Masjid, the police have imposed prohibitory orders in the City and banned all kinds of processions and rallies.

Police Commissioner B Prasada Rao, in a notification here today, said that the prohibitory orders have been issued in view of `reliable information’ that certain groups are out to create disturbances on that day.

The police banned all processions, dharnas, rallies or public meetings and prohibited individuals or groups from making any speech, gesture or displaying pictures, symbols, placards, flags or others which might create religious animosity or hatred between different communities or individuals.

The prohibitory orders would be in force from 6 a.m on December 5 to 6 a.m on December 7.
