To maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the area of Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, in the limits of Saifabad Police Station, together with the offices located within the premises of the A.P. Secretariat including the gates leading to the offices and also areas falling up to a distance of 500 meters from secretariat building perimeter, the Commissioner of Police, has prohibited the holding of any public meeting; Assembly of five or more persons; Carrying the fire arms, banners, placards, lathis, spears, swords, sticks, brickbats, etc;
In an order, the Commissioner has also prohibited Shouting of slogans; Making of speeches, etc; Processions and demonstration; and Picketing or dharnas within the area specified in the schedule to this order without a written permission.
This order shall be in force with effect from 0600 hours on 19-05-2013 and shall remain in force for a period of two months i.e. up to 0600 hours on 18-07-2013 (both days inclusive), unless withdrawn earlier.
Any person violating the order shall be liable for punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal code and as per the provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348. (NSS)
