Hyderabad, September 20: Stating that certain groups were reportedly trying to create disturbances affecting public peace and order in Hyderabad City, the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, Mr A K Khan, has prohibited every kind of Assembly of public on the public roads, procession, dharna, rally or public meetings and prohibited any individual or groups of individuals from making any speech, gesture or displaying pictures, symbols, placards, flags and so on which is likely to create religious animosity or hatred between different communities or individuals or is likely to cause disturbance to the public peace and order within the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
He stated that any person violating the ban orders will be prosecuted under the law. However, police officers and personnel on duty, Military personnel, Home Guards, Bonafide funeral processions and persons or groups duly exempted by competent authority are exempted from the operation of the order which will be in force from 6 am on September 22 to 6 am on September 28.
