New Delhi: Noted historian and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Jamia Prof. Shahed Ashraf has been appointed as acting Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.
Prof. Ashraf will replace Prof. Talat Ahmed, who resigned as vice chancellor on Tuesday. Prof Talat has been appointed as new Vice-Chancellor of Kashmir University
Prof Shahed Ashraf has been working as Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university since August 2016. He also served as registrar and finance officer of the university. Presently he is the head of the department of economics.
