According to Vice Chancellor and Registrar Osmania University, Prof. Mahjabeen Akhtar has been appointed as Head of the department of Arabic, Osmania University. She took charge of her post by Prof. Hafez Syed Badiuddin Saberi. She served at Osmania University College for Women (Kothi) as HoD and as Chairman Board of Studies for 16 years. She made several reforms in Arabic syllabus of graduation. She also served on many non teaching posts including controller of examination and also convened many national seminars and workshops. She is the author of nearly 15 books. Over 70 research papers written by her were published in national and international seminars.
