Noted scholar of Deccani Urdu, critic and researcher, Prof. Abdul Razak Farooqui passed away on Saturday Morning at his residence in Mogalpura. He was former Professor and Head of the Department of Urdu at Gulbarga University. He was suffering from Kidney problem. He was busy in literary works till his last breath. His funeral prayer was offered at Makka Masjid after Zohar prayer and he was buried in his ancestral graveyard at Kamatipura. He survived by wife, Prof. Ruksana Parveen, former Head of the Department of History, Gulbarga University , a son Mr. Mohd Sahbaz Farooqui and two daughters.
