Hyderabad: The process of formation of A.P. State Wakf Board has been postponed. Govt. of A.P. cancelled the GO on technical grounds in order to avoid legal complications. It is expected that the new GO would be issued within a week.
Govt. of AP had issued a GO fixing 26th July as the last date of filling nomination, 27th July for withdrawals and 2nd August for polling. The period prescribed for conducting elections was not as per the Wakf act.
