Process on for DRDO’s Rs 1600 Cr facility in Nalgonda

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday informed that Telangana State Legislative Assembly that DRDO is establishing a research unit at a cost of Rs 1600 crore in Nagarjuna Sagar in Nalgonda district.

Replying to a question raised by G Kishore Kumar during Question Hour, the Chief Minister said that the government has decided to allot 100 acres of land for setting up of the research unit. He said that the Revenue Department has directed the Nalgonda District Collector to handover advance possession of government land of 101 acres in Survey No 70, Nandikonda village in Peddavura mandal to the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) of DRDO and for submitting alienation proposals vide Memo dated.3.9.2014. The District Revenue Authorities are taking necessary steps for giving advance possession of the said land to the GTRE of DRDO, he said. (INN)
