Primary Education Minister and Seemandhra Congress MLAs’ JAC convener Dr S Sailajanath has said Union Minister for Textiles and Eluru MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao has not changed his opinion on the Telangana issue. He said that it was not correct to jump to conclusion that Kavuri has changed his opinion on Telangana issue after getting a berth in the Union Cabinet.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Sailajanath said several problems including law and order will arise if the State was divided. He said they were trying to put forth their point of view once again in front of the party high command as the Congress Core Committee will be meeting on July 12. He said they would meet AICC general secretary in-charge of State Congress Affairs Digvijay Singh today.
Meanwhile, Seemandhra leaders intensified their efforts with the demand to keep the State united. They convened a meeting in AP Bhavan and discussed on how to convince the party high command. They also organized a meeting at Rajya Sabha member Dr KVP Ramachandra Rao’s residence. (NSS)
