Probe on in Violinist Subramaniam case

Mumbai, September 08: The Bangalore police commissioner Shankar Bidari has assured thorough investigation in to the theft complaint filed by the violin maestro L Subramaniam against his domestic help and the counter complaint filed by her alleging sexual harassment.

The maid has not lodged the complaint directly, she approached a dalit organization after the theft complaint was filed against her.

The organization has given photocopy of her statement to police with the petition accusing Subramaniam of sexually harassing Bhagya, his housemaid.

Although, Bidari said that the police can not file an FIR unless the statement of the maid servant is recorded.

He added that police has been directed to record her statement.

Subramaniam is an acclaimed Indian violinist, composer and conductor. He is married to the famous Bollywood playback singer Kavita Krishnamoorthy.
