The Minority Welfare Department has ordered probe into the allegations levied against officials of Andhra Pradesh State Minority Finance Corporation who are involved in irregularities. The department has appointed Mr. Lingaraj Panigarhi IAS as member commissioner of enquiry so as to investigate into alleged irregularities in tatkal scheme under which the aid was distributed among flood victims in 2002.
Vigilance and enforcement submitting a report no 47 dated May 31, 2004 in which they had placed charges of irregularities against S Maula Ali the then DMWO, Kadapa, S Zameer Ahmed and Mohammed Abdul Kareem former executive directors.
According to sources the three officials were accused of fraud of nearly 15 lakh rupees in 2002.
