Ahmedabad, May 17: One of the 15 accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter today claimed that a woman IPS officer diverted the probe in the case and sought investigation of her role.
Opposing CBI’s application seeking his custody for further interrogation in the encounter case, Narendra Amin said Geetha Johri, who was supervising the matter before it was handed over to CBI by Supreme Court, needed to be questioned about her links with politicians.
“Geetha Johri should be investigated. I am surprised that she has not been arrested. Johri has nexus with politicians, IPS officers and other criminals,” Amin alleged before Judge V B Barot of the CBI court, while arguing his case in person.
“She was the one who diverted the entire probe in the Sohrabuddin case. I do not have words to describe her act,” he claimed.
