(Siasat News)Minister for Medical Education, Mr. K.Murali told that Govt. is taking necessary steps to prevent infant deaths in Govt. hospitals. He told that experts would conduct enquiries about the deaths of infants in M.G.M. Hospital in Warangal and Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad.
He told that the details of infant deaths in Govt. hospitals are less. The deaths of the deaths of the infants admitted in Govt. hospitals from private hospitals due to lack of facilities are more.
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Murali told that the doctors in Govt. hospitals try to save the lives of infants who are admitted in critical conditions. He told that there is no shortage of doctors, ventilators and oxygen in Govt. hospitals. If the doctors are less in numbers in any hospital, Govt. will depute them if it is brought to the notice.
He refuted the charge that infant deaths are occurring because of lack of facilities.
