Pro-hindu outfit demands probe media malign against RSS

Hubli, July 22: Right wing Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik urged the Centre to probe into the cases of some private TV channels engaged in maligning the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and some ”pro-Hindu” activists.

Addressing a press meet at Dharwad he yesterday said it was condemnable to allege RSS as anti national. ”Some private channels have accused RSS as terrorist organisation. But RSS has been in existence over 85 years and is known for its patriotism. Its contribution in building this nation on cultural lines has been undisputed,” he said.

The role of RSS in freedom struggle was tremendous, he said, adding that it was unfortunate that some private media houses were engaged in disseminating wrong information.
