Newsweek’s Twitter account has been hacked by pro- Islamic State ( IS) group that threatens the Obama family in a tweet posted several times by the compromised Newsweek account that says “Bloody Valentine’s Day # MichelleObama ! We’re watching you, you girls and your husband!”.
According to the Verge, the group that took over the site identified itself with the hashtag CyberCaliphate.
The tweets also had supposed links of sensitive documents interspersed between the threatening language.
A message posted to Newsweek’s account said that they broke into the personal account while the U.S. satellite killed their families in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
