New Delhi: Priyadarshini Chatterjee, the winner of FBB Femina Miss India World 2016, held in Yash Raj studio in Mumbai, has made her parents proud with her achievement at the age of 19.
“I am very happy because of my daughter’s performance. We have always inspired and supported her and she has responded to our efforts positively,” said Praveen Kumar Chatterjee, her father.
“I am very happy and proud that I am Priyadarshini’s mom,” added Papiya Chatterjee, Priyadirshini’s mother.
Priyadarshini beat 21 finalists to be crowned Miss India at the 53rd edition of the beauty pageant.
Beauty with brains defined her who made Assam and the entire Northeastern region proud. She will now represent India at the Miss World 2016.
While she likes to call herself a people’s person, Priyadarshini believes it’s her studies that have helped her to travel and meet new people. (ANI)
