IT & Textiles Minister K T Rama Rao, who is on Gujarat tour, today made a visit to Sabarmati Ashram of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. He also visited a Museum at the Ashram and had a glance of it besides taking a photograph at the “Charkha” that was used by Mahatma Gandhi. “It is great honour to visit Gandhiji’s Sabaramthi Ashram”, the minister stated. KTR interacted with some students on the occasion. Gandhiji was a very simple man and spent a glorious life, KTR said.
Later he tweeted that he was privileged to visit and experience Mahatma’s Ashram at Sabarmati. What a simple man and what a glorious life Gandhiji had”, he tweeted.
It may be mentioned here that the minister, accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu while visiting Telangana Textile Stall during a Textile India Expo at Gujarat on Friday. He also addressed a round table conference later along with Union Textiles Minister Smrithi Irani and Chandrababu Naidu. (NSS)
