Privilege notice against Chowdhary, says Roja

The YSRCP legislator Roja today accused TDP chief and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of deliberately violating the norms and proceedings of the House.

Speaking at the Assembly mediapoint after the House was adjourned till evening, Roja said the YSRCP would serve a notice of privilege motion against TDP legislator Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhary’s remarks against her. She said they would show their strength of words to the TD for trying to threaten them. “If our boss and Leader of the Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy allows us, we will talk more than what the TD members are talking in the House”, Roja said.

She also said her party chief Jagan is known for following House norms, while the leader of the House N Chandrababu Naidu is just violating the same”, she criticized.

The ruling party is behaving in such a way that the entire civil society is put to shame, she said. Chowdhary belittled the House by making personal abuse and remarks that are not suggestible to his age, she contended. “We will not keep quiet and show our power of words to the ruling party when the House resumes”, the actress-turned politician said.

Butchaiah said the ruling party would not tolerate YSRCP comments belittling the House. He reprimanded that the House is not granted for YSRCP’s comments which are against the proceedings. The ruling party is not ready to tolerate whatever the Opposition speaks in the House, he warned. “We need to follow the House norms and maintain decency which the YSRCP leaders lacking, Chowdhary maintained.
