Khaja Sirajuddin Aijaz,of the Movement for Social Justice and Muslim welfare alleged the misuse of private property in Khaitrabad. On Sunday the activists demanded that the government should restore the land to the Wafk Board.
About 5,566 Square.yards of wafk property ‘Zard Banglow’ was being used for purposes other than specified in Sec.3(R) of the wafk Act,1995. The property that was meant for the welfare of the community is being misused and at present there are two cinema halls and one non- muslim religious structure on the property.
As Aijaz said that the Zard Banglow was originally purchased by Nawab Iqbal Yar jung Bahadur in 1899 and was gifted to the wafk soon after. After that it was given on lease to private party for 60 years on the condition that no business of objectionable nature would be carried out there.
With the abet of our mighty politician several properties are misused.There exist a High Court ordre in case of the khairtabad property against the tenent ,but unfortunately the property still continued to remain under their tenure .
Aijaz said that their demand is that the wafk board follow its order passed before and direct the sub registrar of SR Nagar to release the pending documents so that they can recover the Khairtabad property from unauthorized tenant
