Police have investigated into the case in which a four-year-old girl was crushed to death as her head got stuck in the door of the elevator at a private school in Malakpet. After primary investigations police came to know that the lift door was malfunctioning. And while shifting the students to first floor, the students were jostling for space, in the midst of this, the door went open and Zainab got stuck between the elevator and the first floor concrete roof.
Police also learnt that no security staff was present to save the trapped child nor any watchman was appointed to operate the lift.
Malakpet police remanded School Principal Shalini, teacher Saroja and campus incharge Satish to judicial custody and they were shifted to jail.
Taking strong action against the negligence of school administration, Education Department closed down Sri Chaitanya Techno Premium Kids School permanently and its students were shifted to the nearby schools, Spring Dale Shanti Niketan and Morning Star School.
