Pritala Sriram’s bail petition posted to Jan 7

Hearing on the bail petition of Paritala Sriram, son of TDP MLA Paritala Sunita and late leader Paritala Ravindra was posted to January 7.

Sriram is Accused No. 14 in the conspiracy to murder Congress leader Kamireddypalli Sudhakar Reddy. Sriram’s lawyers filed an anticipatory bail petition in the district court here.

Meanwhile, police have been searching for the youngster, who had gone underground, after the case was registered against him. On Wednesday, police searched the houses of Sunita in Anantapur and their native village Venkatapuram. They also searched the houses of their relatives.

On Thursday, police intensified the search and sent teams to Karnataka also as they received information that he was holed up there.

Cases were registered against 15 persons in the case. Police have already arrested four persons and are searching for the remaining eleven, including Sriram. Three teams were fanned out to search for the accused, Nagoor Hussain, a follower of Paritala was named accused 15 in the case.

It is learnt that the police mentioned in the FIR that a ‘Supari’ for Rs 10 lakhs was exchanged for the murder of Sudhakar Reddy. Police gave lookout notices to all the Indian airports as they received information that Sriram was trying to escape to a foreign country. It is likely that Sriram would remain underground, until he got anticipatory bail.
