(Siasat News) A Financier came to my house and quarreled with me for getting his money back. In a fit of anger I killed him. Later I realized that it was a bad act. Had I been patient I would not have spent 8 years imprisonment. These are the words spoken by 30 year old Shaik Chand will speaking to the staff reporter of Siasat. He is undergoing life sentence in Chanchalguda Jail. He has been deputed to work at the petrol bunk started by Chanchalguda Central Jail. He continued his education and got graduation degree. 31 prisoners who are undergoing life imprisonment are also working at his petrol bunk. They get Rs.70 per day as their wages. Out of this amount Rs. 35 are deposited in their bank accounts. The remaining 50% of the amount is given to the prisoners for their expenses. These prisoners feel relief in the open spaces of the prison working at a petrol bunk. Another petrol bunk has been opened at Cherlapally Jail. Both these petrol bunks work round the clock. Syed Amjad (42) who is undergoing life imprisonment for assassinating his wife told that he feels a great relief working at the petrol bunk. He has three children. He wants to lead a peaceful life after release from jail.
