Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha today said the State government was giving top priority for women empowerment and growth.
Unveiling a calendar of “Sakhi and She Teams” at Shishu Griha in Nizamabad, her home parliamentary constituency, Kavitha said the TRS government was committed for women welfare and development. Expressing concern over the atrocities against women and girls, Kavitha said accused in such incidents would not be spared. The government, she said, will take stringent action against those who are resorting to attack on the women and girls in the State.
She also said the State government was generous towards pregnant women and extending better healthcare and financial assistance to them. For the first time in the country, the Telangana State government was opening camp offices for legislators and the credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, she claimed. The MP also inaugurated separate hostels constructed for SC and ST students in the district and laid foundation stone for camp office for MLAs. The TRS Government was giving adequate funds for the hostels with better facilities, she claimed. (NSS)
