Agriculture Minister Kanna Laxminarayana has said the State government would give top priority to mechanization of agriculture sector this financial year and it prepared Rs 2500-crore Plan in this regard.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday after launching the four-day Agritech-2013 Exhibition organised by the Agriculture department and HITEX, Kanna said the government would give Rs 500 subsidy out of the proposed Rs 2,500. Stating that this kind of exhibitions would help the farmers greatly, he said the farmers would be benefited with decrease in the expenditure.
The minister also announced that the department would conduct this sort of exhibitions even in the districts for creating awareness among the farmers on mechanization.
Later, the minister visited the stalls relating to Agriculture technology and agriculture business. (NSS)
