Education Minister, G Jagadishwar Reddy today taken charge at his Secretariat chambers in Telangana State post bifurcation.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, he said that the TRS Government will achieve total literacy in Telangana region during its five years stint. The minister maintained that the dream of Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao to offer KG to PG free Residential Education will be a reality shortly. KCR is committed to offer the best education in the state which will sure achieve total literacy, he maintained. Steps in this regard will be taken after holding consultations with experts and intellectuals, he stated.
Reddy said that it is of no use if society was given all facilities except education, which is paramount for growth and rapid development of any state. The Education Minister said that efforts will be made to resolve the problems of Education department after tiding over other related issues. The TRS Government will take necessary steps and press its machinery to downsize drop out number of SC and ST students in the region.(NSS)
