Principal raped me in his car

Sitiki, June 06: A local primary school principal has been reported to the police for allegedly raping a shopkeeper inside his car a week ago.

The woman, Pholile, aged 28, alleges that the principal had been proposing love to her when this happened.

“He was proposing love to me. We were not yet lovers. I met him a week ago, and he asked for my cell number and I gave it to him,” said the young woman.

The following day, the 40- year -old principal called her at midnight, requesting that she come out and meet him at her family gate.

The woman alleges that the man had parked his car at the family gate, a grey Toyota Camry. Upon reaching the car, he then requested her to get inside the car so he could explain why he had come to her family gate at night.

While she was listening to his advances, the school master then closed all the car windows.

“He asked me to get inside so he could tell me why he had come to me at night. Having got inside his car, a grey Toyota, he suddenly grabbed me, and forcefully opened my legs and raped me,” alleged the traumatised lady.

“I told him to stop but he continued. I was wearing a gown that night. I reported the matter to my elder sister”. The sister then reported the matter to senior family members and the police at Siteki.

“I reported the matter four days later and the police were very intimidating,” said Pholile.

When sought for comment, Police Public Relations Officer Superintendent Wendy Hleta confirmed the matter had been reported.

“The woman reported the matter to the Siteki police, however, she did not open a case against the man who is alleged to have raped her. We do not know why,” said Hleta.
