Patna: Principal of a government girls’ school on Friday beaten by the students and their parents for allegedly behaving “indecently” with a girl student, police said. He was later arrested and being questioned, they said.
After a class VIII student of Government Girls’ Middle school Nawada complained about the alleged indecent behaviour of the principal on Wednesday in the school to her parents. Following which, infuriated parents, angry locals and girl students chased the Principal and beat him with shoes and chappals after dragging him on the school premises, they said.
The mob also vandalised the school. Later, the police arrived and arrested the Principal.
Inspector of town police station Sunil Kumar Singh said the Principal was being questioned about the complaint made by the student. The women police station in the district is recording complaint of the victim.
