Islamabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Islamabad in November this year confirmed Pakistan Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.

He said.”Dates for the upcoming SAARC summit in Islamabad are being worked out in consultation with member states said Fatemi. The summit will probably be held in November. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the summit,” he added.

Further, Fatemi added a five-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the January 2 terror attack on India’s Pathankot airbase will compete its work this week.

JIT was informed last week by the Punjab government to investigate the Pathankot airbase attack case, which was registered a week earlier in Gujranwala.

Prime Minister Modi has given a surprise visit to Pakistan in December on his counterpart, Nawaz Sharif’s birthday.

His visit resulted into the peaceful ties between the two nations but the Pathankot attack again spoiled the peace efforts.
