Mumbai: Following the arrest of former MP Sameer Bhujbal on money laundering charges, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was targeting one family ‘under pressure’.
“Sameer Bhujbal’s arrest proves that one family is being targeted. We will cooperate in the probe. The agency is working under pressure and it is all being done on the directions of a BJP MP,” Pawar said.
The Enforcement Directorate yesterday arrested Sameer Bhujbal, who is the nephew of NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal, in a money laundering case.
The agency had conducted multiple searches in connection with its probe against Bhujbal and others.
The agency had raided eight premises of Chhagan Bhujbal, his family members and companies related to them and brought Sameer at their office for questioning. (ANI)
