New Delhi, February 22: BJP today termed the Presidential Address to the joint session of Parliament as “more like a DAVP advertisement” which propagates the government’s programmes and said though it mentions price rise and internal security issues, it lacks sensitivity.
“The President’s address today is more like a DAVP advertisement, which gives a compilation of the schemes of the government. The address lacks in giving a direction on major challenges facing the country,” Deputy Leader of BJP in Rajya Sabha, S S Ahluwalia said.
He enumerated the issues facing the nation today and claimed that the government was insensitive to them.
“The nation is burdened with the problem of price rise.
The address of the President does not give any indication of the government’s policy or resolve to contain it. It is insensitive to the concerns of the aam admi,” Ahluwalia said.
