President visiting on Dec 19, CS asks officials to make all arrangements

Chief Secretary Sekhar Prasad Singh today said President Ramnath Kovind will be attending as chief guest in the grand finale of World Telugu Conference (WTC) here on December 19.

Presiding over a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat here today, SP Singh directed the officials concerned to make arrangements for offering a grand welcome to the President at Begumpet Airport at 2.55 pm. All the departments should make required arrangements at the airport and also in the city with welcome arches, hoardings and others, he said. He also discussed on the arrangements being made and asked them to take steps for necessary traffic regulation, bandobust and security, uninterrupted power supply, repair of roads, sanitation and ceremonial parade.

The Chief Secretary also said the President will offer floral tributes to Lord Buddha at Tank Bund on December 20 and will leave for Delhi on the same day. As part of his official winter stay in Rashtrapathi Nilayam at Bollarum, Ramnath Kovind will arrive in the city on December 23, he said and asked the officials to make arrangements for his sojourn.
