President Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the loss of lives in an explosion of a GAIL gas pipeline in Andhra Pradesh today.
In his message to Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, the President has stated, “I am extremely saddened to learn about the explosion of a GAIL gas pipeline in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh in which some persons have lost their lives and many others are injured. I am sure that the State Government and other agencies are taking necessary steps to provide urgent medical assistance to the injured and all possible aid to the bereaved families, who have lost their near and dear ones. Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I wish speedy recovery to the injured persons”.
PM’S CONDOLES DEATHS; ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL RELIEF
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in the fire in a GAIL pipeline in Andhra Pradesh today. He has spoken to the Petroleum Minister, Cabinet Secretary and GAIL Chairman and asked them to ensure immediate relief at the accident site. The PM announced additional ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh from PM’s Relief Fund for those affected by the GAIL Pipeline fire in Andhra Pradesh. This is in addition to the relief assistance given by the Petroleum Ministry and GAIL. An ex-gratia relief of Rs 50,000 has also been sanctioned for those who were seriously injured in the incident.
