President Pranab Mukherjee today appointed Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik and Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kohli the duties of the Governor of Rajasthan and Goa respectively.
Ram Naik will have to discharge the functions of the Governor of Rajasthan, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Rajasthan are made.
And Om Prakash Kohli will have to discharge the functions of the Governor of Goa, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements are made for the office of the Governor of Goa.
The announcements have been made following the completion of the tenure of Margaret Alva on August 5, 2014 who has been serving as the governor of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa. (ANI)
